Moderators
Moderators
The moderators feature lets you invite trusted people to help manage your TIKTORY account. They sign in with their own TIKTORY login and can switch to your account to run your streams, edit overlays, or manage flows—all without sharing your password.
Overview
With moderators you can:
- Invite team members, VAs, or co-hosts to help run your channel
- Control exactly what each person can access
- Revoke access instantly when someone leaves your team
Note: Moderator management requires a PRO subscription.
For Streamers
Inviting a Moderator
- Click the user icon in the top-right corner and select My Moderators
- Click Invite Moderator
- Enter the moderator’s email address
- Select a permission preset, or choose Custom to pick individual permissions
- Click Invite
The invitee receives an email with instructions. If they don’t have a TIKTORY account yet, they’ll be prompted to create one.
Permission Presets
Choose a preset that matches what your moderator needs:
| Preset | What they can do |
|---|---|
| Full Access | Everything except billing and account settings |
| Flows Manager | View, edit, run, and toggle flows |
| Audio Manager | Manage audio alerts, TTS settings, and media library |
| Viewer Manager | View and manage viewers, points, and levels |
| Live Operator | Toggle flows and audio, control live features (no editing) |
| Read Only | View dashboards and stats without making changes |
Custom Permissions
For fine-grained control, switch to Custom and enable only the specific permissions you need:
- Flows: View, run, edit, or just toggle on/off
- Overlay: View only, adjust item settings, or add/remove items
- Audio Alerts & TTS: View, edit settings, or toggle
- Viewers & Points: View, edit, or delete
- Profiles: View, toggle, or edit
- And more: Game integrations, AI Studio, settings
Managing Moderators
From My Moderators, you can:
- Edit permissions: Click a moderator to change their access level
- Remove access: Click the remove button to instantly revoke access
Warning: Removing a moderator takes effect immediately. They will no longer be able to access your account.
For Moderators
Accepting an Invitation
When someone invites you as a moderator:
- Check your email for the invitation link, or
- Click the user icon in the top-right corner and select Moderator invitations to see pending invitations
- Click Accept to confirm
Switching Accounts
Once accepted, you can work on the streamer’s account:
- Click your user icon in the top-right corner
- In the account switcher, select the streamer’s account
- The dashboard now shows their profiles, flows, and overlays
To switch back to your own account, use the account switcher again.
What You’ll See
When acting as a moderator:
- You only see areas your permissions allow
- Read-only sections are marked as such
- Some actions may be disabled based on your permissions
- Billing and sensitive account settings are not accessible
How It Works
- Moderators sign in with their own TIKTORY account
- When they “act as” you, they see your data but cannot access your password
- All actions respect the permissions you granted
- You can review and change permissions anytime
Tips
-
Start restrictive: Give moderators only what they need, then expand if necessary.
-
Use Live Operator for show runners: They can toggle flows and audio without accidentally editing your automation.
-
Review access regularly: Remove moderators who no longer need access.
-
Different roles for different people: Your overlay designer might need different permissions than your live mod.
FAQ
Is this the same as a TikTok moderator?
No. TikTok moderators work inside TikTok’s app. TIKTORY moderators help manage your TIKTORY dashboard, overlays, and flows.
Can moderators see my password?
No. They use their own TIKTORY login and access your account through the delegation system.
Can I moderate for multiple streamers?
Yes. If multiple streamers invite you, you can switch between their accounts using the account switcher.
What happens if I lose PRO?
You won’t be able to invite new moderators or manage existing ones. Existing moderators may lose access depending on your subscription status.
Can moderators make purchases?
No. Billing actions are restricted to the account owner.
Troubleshooting
Moderator can’t find the invitation
- Check that you sent it to the correct email address
- Ask them to check their spam folder
- They can also check Moderator invitations in the user menu if they already have a TIKTORY account
Moderator can’t see certain features
This is expected. They only see features their permissions allow. Edit their permissions in My Moderators if they need more access.
“Invite Moderator” button is missing
Confirm your account has an active PRO subscription. Demo accounts cannot use moderator features.
